Celebrate with Carnival

If you’ve been daydreaming about sun, sand, and nonstop family fun then let me take you on a little virtual cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Line with a stop at their new paradise Celebration Key. And yes, that starts with the fabulous ship Carnival Celebration. Grab your sunglasses, your sense of adventure, maybe a big scoop of soft-serve ice cream and get ready to sail away.
Carnival Celebration
Jumping aboard Carnival Celebration feels like stepping into a floating fun-house built for all ages. The ship is designed with families in mind, offering a ton of activities and spaces where kids, teens, and grown-ups alike can find their happy place(s).
For kid-friendly programs, Carnival shines: there’s Camp Ocean for younger kids, plus special zones for tweens and teens (like Circle C and Club O2) so they can hang out, meet new friends, and have their own adventures.
When it’s time to get active, you’ve got options: a water park with slides, mini-golf, sports, and even a roller-coaster at sea. You can even play a pickleball game.
The entertainment onboard is also top-notch: think grand shows that will wow all abord, comedy nights (both PG and adult), gameshows like live versions of “Family Feud,” pool parties, and movies under the stars. It is not likely that you will run out of things to do.
All in all, Carnival Celebration isn’t just a ship, it’s a floating resort that tries to make sure everyone from toddlers to grandparents has something to smile about.
Celebration Key: Carnival’s brand-new private island paradise
As fun as a cruise can be, a lot of magic often comes from where you dock. That’s where Celebration Key absolutely shines. Officially opened in July 2025, this is Carnival’s own private destination on the south side of Grand Bahama Island. It feels like someone took the best of a beach resort and a water park and wrapped it into one paradise.
Celebration Key consists of 5 different areas that provide unique opportunities for fun:
- Starfish Lagoon — huge freshwater lagoon, a splash pad for little kids, and two epic 350-foot water slides that race from a towering 10-story “Suncastle.” Water play, Beach play, and even sports courts for beach volleyball or basketball.
- Paradise Plaza — where you first step off the ship. This area provides live music, photo-ops, and information to direct you on your day’s adventure.
- Calypso Lagoon — Lagoon-side swim-up / swing-bar vibes, lively DJ island for music lovers, and relaxed beach/lagoon ambiance. Great if some adults need a little party time while kids play elsewhere.
- Pearl Cove Beach Club — adults-only luxury retreat. Infinity pool, private beach access, loungers, cabanas, elevated dining and bar options. Great for adults looking for quiet time away from the kids.
- Lokono Cove — the retail and culture portal. Think Bahamian crafts and good, vibrant murals, duty-free shopping, snacks and drinks. Nice for a stroll and laid-back shopping with local flavor.
Whether you want a non-stop splash day, beach lounging, a little shopping, or relaxing cocktails, Celebration Key gives you that and more. With a large white-sand beach, lagoons, cabanas and daybeds, plus a ton of included (and optional) food and drink options, it feels like a resort. Just walk off your ship and you are there.
Celebration Key requires no complicated planning. You can spend hours splashing with the kids, grab a quick meal, explore the sandy beach, and still make it back in time for dinner on the ship. All in one convenient, sunshine-filled, fun day.
Carnival Celebration + Celebration Key — a perfect fit!
If you think about a perfect family vacation loop: fun onboard, then fun on a beach — Carnival nails it.
Start with the easy comfort of the ship. Kid-friendly staterooms, lounges, water slides, arcades, movie nights, and shows.
Then spend port day at Celebration Key. Splash in the lagoon, race down slides, build sandcastles, relax under a cabana, and enjoy Bahamian sunshine.
Carnival Celebration with the addition of Celebration Key feels like the cruise-plus-beach-vacation combo that many families have been dreaming about.
It’s not just about the ship or the destination. It’s about the whole rhythm of a family vacation. Carnival seems to have thought of it all. Kids get waterslides and clubs, parents get moments of calm and laughter, and everyone gets memories.
